About Chicago

Chicago ( (listen) shih-KAH-goh, locally also shih-KAW-goh; Miami-Illinois: Shikaakwa; Ojibwe: Zhigaagong) is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Illinois and the third most populous in the United States after New York City and Los Angeles. With a population of 2,746,388 in the 2020 census, it is also the most populous city in the Midwest. As the seat of Cook County (the second-most populous U.S. county), the city is the center of the Chicago metropolitan area, one of the largest in the world. On the shore of Lake Michigan, Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837 near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed. It grew rapidly in the mid-19th century; by 1860, Chicago was the youngest U.S. city to exceed a population of 100,000.

I came across Take Action CPR when looking for new people to bring in for a health fair at the building I work at. I contacted Bob McNellis and he was so nice and it was great to work with him! They had a great setup and briefly showed a quick demo for someone who may be choking. I found out that they hold on-site classes which is super convenient! Kirk Blank, who also attended my health fair, came back the following month to instruct the class. We had an excellent turnout! Take Action CPR is great if you need to fulfill a job requirement! It's very affordable. Kirk was very hands on and made sure everyone participated when needed. We really enjoyed the class at 203 N LaSalle and highly recommend that other buildings take advantage of this opportunity! THANK YOU GUYS
